Oatly Enriched
For a long time we couldn't imagine another milk alternative finding space in our hearts. Our runner ups were likes, not loves. Until a trip to Paris, with their "diététique" aisle - i.e. shelves of all-white, hospital-like products for dietary issues. Severe ones, I assume. Bestie ventured in and we tried a few. They weren't terrible - "pas mal" as the French would say. While 'not bad' equals just great for them, not for me.
Google slightly creepily saved the day by serving me up an ad for a store that stocked Barista. There I found his brother Enriched next to the gaping hole where he used to be and decided to give him a chance.
That same day bestie brought home her latest hospital-aisle experiment, making for a convenient taste test competition. I admit that my heart sank and I internally took the "L" on seeing Enriched disintegrate horribly upon meeting our coffee. But I stood by my man and when it came to the taste, boy was I rewarded! Never more will I be fooled by looks. Oatly Enriched can stay.
Sustainability: ♡♡♡
Not just a pretty taste, oat milk is a good guy too! Far better for the planet than other popular non-dairy contenders, such as almond milk.
